Calling all families learning at home! Join us for a virtual event exploring the history and culture of South Asia. Look closely at artifacts to learn more about people living in South Asia throughout history. Get hands-on as you learn to make coil pottery, create a miniature Mughal painting, explore Mehndi art, and more. A museum educator will also share how performance masks are used across South Asia to inspire your own creations.
Designed for students and families learning at home, this special day of activities includes two 30-minute live virtual sessions scheduled at 10:00 AM and 12:30 PM, along with digital activities that can be completed at any time. Recommended for kids in elementary to middle school, but all ages are welcome.
To provide much-needed flexibility for this event, registered families will gain access to a virtual classroom through Google and will continue to have access to the content for the remainder of the academic year.
