Friday, September 15, 6:00 to 9:00 pm PHILADELPHIA, PA 2017—Calling Mom, Dad, the kids, Grandma, and Uncle Joe! The Penn Museum is reviving a classic concept, with a new (and old, old) twist: Family Game Night.

June 28 through August 16 at the Penn Museum PHILADELPHIA, PA 2017—Summer is coming, and the Penn Museum is ready with Wednesday morning programming for children and their families, June 28 through August 16. From world music to puppetry, theater, and storytelling—even an ancient Egyptian mummification program — "World Wonders" offers a globally-focused lineup of interactive performances in the Museum’s Rainey Auditorium. For families with younger children, "Storytime Expeditions", which feature a story book reading and touchable artifacts to explore, take place in the Museum’s galleries. The programs are thematically linked, and families can choose to attend one or both programs.

Wednesday Evenings Pair Local & International Music with Access to World-Renowned Collection of Art & Artifacts PHILADELPHIA, PA—This summer, discover an outdoor concert experience that in-the-know Philadelphians have been enjoying for years. The Penn Museum’s eighth annual Summer Nights Concert Series brings an eclectic lineup of performances—including Creole Zydeco, Calypso, ‘20s Jazz, Middle Eastern folk, and more—to the relaxing garden setting of the Museum’s Stoner Courtyard. Admission is just $10 (free for PennCard holders, Penn Medicine and CHOP employees with ID; Penn Museum Members, and children under 6 years old). Concerts are presented every Wednesday evening, June 21 through September 6, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.

Penn Museum Celebrates Rome’s Birthday Saturday April 22, 11:00 am to 4:00 pm Gladiator Bouts and Legionnaire Demonstrations, Pop-Up History Presentations, and Italian Gelato Combine for a Sweet Celebration PHILADELPHIA, PA, Spring 2017—Felix natalis dies! Roughly translated, that is "happy birthday" in Latin—a great phrase to use at the royal celebration of Rome's Birthday Saturday, April 22, 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, at the Penn Museum in Philadelphia. Guests will be treated to thrilling gladiator fights and interactive tactical demonstrations of Roman militia, tours in the Worlds Intertwined: Etruscans, Greeks and Romans suite of galleries, Roman paper mosaic-making craft tables, talks and minute "pop-up" presentations on ancient Roman history and life in the galleries—and a chance to discover authentic Italian gelato, the perfect birthday treat!

Saturday, February 25, 11:00 am – 4:00 pm PHILADELPHIA, PA 2017—Traditional African music and contemporary African dance, storytelling, a drumming workshop, arts, crafts, an African marketplace, games, family gallery tours, films, and more—it all comes alive at the Penn Museum’s 28th annual Celebration of African Cultures on Saturday, February 25, 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. The celebration, presented in the Museum’s African galleries and around the Museum, is free with Museum admission ($15, general admission; $13, seniors [65+]; $10, children [6-17] and full-time students [with ID]; $2 ACCESS and Museums for All cardholders; free to children under 5, members, active U.S. Military, STAMP and PennCard holders).
