Description
Coconut grater consisting of a wooden stool with a projection at the front to which is lashed a piece of shell with a serrated edge. The open side of a split coconut is rubbed and grated against the serrated shell. This is an unusually graceful example of this kind of grater, which lends itself to represenation as an abstract quadriped. Made by Soses Tara in 1964.
