Description
Carved figurine of whale-tooth ivory with gold onlay in shape of anthropomorphic animal with crocodile or jaguar face seated on long pointed base. Gold onlay crest, nose, ears, one eye, upper and lower limbs. Curvilinear design on gold on crest and limbs show claws/fingers. Figure much eroded but gold apparently quite pure and uncorroded.
