Description
Huipil half for lower class child. White cotton woven in central section with red and green wefts in cross stripes of birds and vines in red, orange, purple and blue cotton and yellow silk.
As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 38 epi, two singles, Z twist, unbleached cotton. Weft: 20 ppi, two singles, Z twist, with red, green and yellow stripes. Headings: 16 ppi, three singles, Z twist, unbleached cotton. Supplementary weft is two faced. Warp is predominantly plain weave. One panel, two selvedges."
